Teacup Poodles

Some people just love teacup poodles, they are sooo cute.

The term “Tea Cup” is an unofficial size, these small versions of poodles belong to the toy group of breed registries, but they are smaller than Toy poodles that have a standard size of 4 to 7 pounds.

Officially poodles come in standard, miniature, and toy varieties but there are breeders that specialize in Tea Cup Poodles.

Poodles have a long history and originate from Germany. They are intelligent, clever, learn quickly and they like water as they were used as hunting dogs and retrieved the prey in ponds and swamps.

A teacup poodle can cost up to $300.00 or much more. They are usually more expensive than other sizes as breeders sell them as something special because it is a rare species. Keep in mind that this small dog size may have more health risks than other versions.

The average lifespan is between 12 and 15 years. Groom it well to prevent infections and health problems.
